2a. Educational Content — First-Principles, Not Financial Advice
The educational content presented across our topics (formerly "channels") is curated and written from a first-principles, truth-maximizing perspective. We strive for authenticity, accuracy, and intellectual honesty. However:
- This is not financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Nothing in any topic, article, message, quest, flashcard, trail, or Nacho answer constitutes professional advice of any kind.
- Do your own research (DYOR). Bitcoin is a novel, volatile, and complex technology. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any claim, statistic, historical event, technical specification, or interpretation presented on the Site before acting on it.
- No warranty of accuracy. While we aim for correctness, educational content may contain errors, outdated information, oversimplifications, or subjective interpretations. Bitcoin Education Archive, its operators, contributors, and affiliates make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the content.
- No liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that Bitcoin Education Archive and its operators, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury — financial, reputational, or otherwise — arising from reliance on, interpretation of, or action taken based on any educational content. You accept full responsibility for your own financial decisions and should consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction before buying, selling, holding, mining, sending, or otherwise using Bitcoin or any other asset.
- Bitcoin is volatile. Past performance is not indicative of future results. You can lose some or all of the money you put into Bitcoin. Nobody knows the future price.
- Community & third-party voices. Forum posts, replies, articles authored by other users, videos embedded from YouTube, and podcast episodes reflect the opinions of their individual authors and speakers — not the official position of Bitcoin Education Archive.
- Good-faith corrections. If you identify an error in any educational content, please contact us via the address in Section 23 so we can review and correct it. We reserve the right to revise content at any time without notice.
3. Accounts
You may create an account using a username, email, or third-party sign-in (Google, Twitter/X, GitHub, Facebook, Nostr, or Lightning wallet). You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Not impersonate others or use offensive usernames
- Keep your sign-in credentials secure
- Not create multiple accounts to exploit the points, tickets, referral, or badge systems
- Not use your account to harass, scam, or deceive other users
If you register with an email address, a verification magic link will be sent to your inbox. Nostr sign-in requires a NIP-07 compatible browser extension (Alby, nos2x). Lightning sign-in uses LNURL-auth — scan a QR code with a compatible Lightning wallet. Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or deleted.
4. Orange Tickets, Referral Program & Nacho's Nook
- Orange Tickets are earned through daily logins (+1 ticket), spinning the daily wheel, and verified referrals
- Each Orange Ticket also awards 5 bonus points toward your rank
- Tickets increase your chances in periodic sats giveaways but do not guarantee any prize
- Referral verification requires the referred user to log in and earn 2,100+ points (Maxi rank)
- Referral abuse (fake accounts, self-referrals, bots) will result in ticket forfeiture and account suspension
- Tickets have no monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, or transferred
- We reserve the right to modify the ticket and referral system at any time
4a. Nacho's Nook Shop
- Nacho's Nook is an in-app shop inside Quest Hub where signed-in, non-anonymous users may spend Orange Tickets on virtual items
- Consumable items include: Streak Freezes (protect daily login streak), Hint Tokens (eliminate a wrong answer in quizzes), Double XP Charges (2× XP multiplier for 60 minutes), Bonus Spins (extra daily wheel spin), and Raffle Entries
- Cosmetic items include: Profile Frame (orange glow on rank card and profile), Chat Flair (emoji badge in Global Chat), Pinned Badge, Exclusive Nacho Skin, and Second Mining Rig
- All purchases are processed server-side via atomic Firebase transactions — ticket deductions and item grants happen in a single database operation
- XP points may be converted to Orange Tickets at a rate defined in-app (subject to a daily conversion limit)
- All shop items are virtual and have no monetary value. They cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged for real currency or Bitcoin
- Cosmetic items are one-time purchases per account; attempting to purchase an already-owned cosmetic is rejected server-side
- We reserve the right to change item availability, costs, or effects at any time
5. Points, Badges & Ranking
- Points are earned through site visits, reading channels, completing quests, earning badges, earning tickets, trivia, community participation, Global Chat engagement, DJ broadcasts, and tune-ins
- There are visible goal badges (including chat, DJ, discovery, trails, PVP, music, social, streaks, Nacho, marketplace, and prediction categories) and hidden secret badges with point values ranging from 10 to 1,000
- Ranks range from Normie (0 pts) to Satoshi (21,000 pts)
- Leaderboard rankings are public and display your chosen username and online status. Three leaderboard periods are available: All-Time, Weekly (resets every Monday), and Monthly (resets on the 1st of each month)
- Weekly and Monthly leaderboards track XP earned during that period only; all-time XP is never reduced
- Points are awarded through server-side Cloud Functions with a 500 point daily cap enforced via atomic database transactions — client-side manipulation is not possible
- Attempting to manipulate points through automated tools, scripts, browser console commands, or exploits is prohibited and will be detected
- We reserve the right to reset points or remove accounts engaged in abuse
- XP/points, badges, and ranks are virtual, have no monetary value, and are non-transferable. They cannot be exchanged for real currency, Bitcoin, or any asset of value.
- We are not responsible for the loss of XP, points, streaks, badges, or rank due to account actions, technical errors, policy enforcement, exploits by other users, or any other cause. Virtual items carry no guarantee of persistence.
- If you believe your points were incorrectly affected by another user's exploit or abuse, you may report it — but we do not guarantee restoration of virtual balances.
6. Sats Rewards & In-App Balances
- In-app sats balances are reward entitlements, not stored Bitcoin. Sats shown in your account represent potential reward redemptions — we never custody, hold, or transmit actual Bitcoin on your behalf.
- We never custody user funds. No Bitcoin is held by 603BTC LLC in connection with in-app sats balances, giveaways, or quest rewards.
- Bitcoin's value is highly volatile. Any sats-denominated rewards have a USD value that may fluctuate significantly. We make no guarantees about the value of any reward at the time of redemption.
- You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from receiving, holding, or redeeming sats rewards, prizes, or giveaways. Consult a licensed tax professional in your jurisdiction.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to participate in sats giveaways, rewards, or any feature involving potential financial value. By participating, you confirm you meet the age requirement in your jurisdiction.
- Sats giveaways are periodic promotional events with no guaranteed frequency or amount. Tickets increase your chances but do not guarantee a prize.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue sats rewards, giveaways, or balances at any time.

- We are not liable for any Bitcoin, satoshis, or property lost through marketplace transactions, including scams, fraud, non-delivery, misrepresentation, or disputes between users. You transact entirely at your own risk.
- Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Once you send Bitcoin or satoshis to another user, it cannot be recovered by us under any circumstances.
- Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings
- The following listings are strictly prohibited:

- Scam listings, bait-and-switch tactics, fake products, or deliberately misleading descriptions
- Hazardous materials, recalled products, or items prohibited by shipping carriers
- Any item or service that would require a government license or permit that the seller does not hold
- Violations may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities where applicable
- Uploaded images are resized to max 800px and stored as base64 in Firestore (max 5MB)
- We reserve the right to remove listings and ban sellers who violate these rules
⚠️ Marketplace Safety: Always exercise caution when buying or selling. Use escrow services when possible. Never send payment before receiving an item. Meet in public for local trades. Never share your seed phrase, private keys, or wallet credentials. Report suspicious listings.
8. Direct Messaging (DMs)
- Direct messaging is available to registered (non-anonymous) users only
- Messages are private between the sender and recipient
- Messages are stored in Firebase Firestore and are not end-to-end encrypted
- We may access messages when investigating abuse reports
- Messages are limited to 500 characters and text only (no images or media)
- A rate limit of 30 messages per hour is enforced to prevent spam
- Messages are scanned client-side for known scam patterns and suspicious links — flagged messages display a warning to the recipient
- We are not responsible for fraudulent, deceptive, or scam messages sent between users via DMs. If another user tricks you into sending Bitcoin, satoshis, or divulging sensitive information (seed phrases, private keys, wallet credentials) through direct messages, we bear no liability for any resulting loss.
- User-to-user scams are entirely between the parties involved. Bitcoin Education Archive is not a financial institution and cannot recover lost funds under any circumstances. Use extreme caution before sending Bitcoin or personal information to any other user.

- Reports are reviewed by site administrators and may result in account suspension or permanent ban
9. Bitcoin Beats (Community Music)
- Bitcoin Beats allows registered users to upload audio tracks (MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC — max 50MB each via Firebase Storage) for other users to listen to

Copyright & Intellectual Property
⚠️ COPYRIGHT NOTICE: By uploading music to Bitcoin Beats, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator of the music, OR
- You have obtained explicit written permission from the copyright holder to upload and distribute the music, OR
- The music is in the public domain or licensed under a Creative Commons or similar open license that permits redistribution
- Uploading copyrighted music without authorization is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of these Terms
- This includes but is not limited to: commercially released songs, remixes of copyrighted material without a license, cover versions where mechanical licenses have not been obtained, and samples of copyrighted recordings
- Bitcoin Education Archive does not pre-screen uploads and is not responsible for user-uploaded content

- By uploading, you grant Bitcoin Education Archive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, stream, and distribute your track on the platform

- License revocation: You may terminate the non-exclusive, royalty-free license granted to the platform at any time by removing your content using the "Delete Track" option on your artist profile page, or by contacting us at info.603btc@gmail.com. Upon removal, all copies will be deleted from our servers within 48 hours
- No AI training: 603BTC LLC will never use any user-uploaded audio, metadata, or artist data for artificial intelligence training, machine learning model development, or any form of automated content generation. We strictly prohibit third parties from scraping, indexing, or using content hosted on Bitcoin Beats for AI/ML training purposes. Any such use is a violation of these Terms and may result in legal action
Value-4-Value (V4V) License for Musicians
Music imported into Bitcoin Beats from Value-4-Value enabled sources (including Podcast Index feeds) is licensed under the Value-4-Value Master Use License.
This Value-4-Value Master Use License (“The License” or “The Agreement”) is a public use license governing the distribution, use, and monetization of Sound Recordings and Video Recordings within the Value-4-Value ecosystem (“The Valueverse”). It is issued by the Owner of a Recording upon upload to a V4V-enabled distributor and is intended to replace the silence of traditional streaming licenses with a framework that places the artist in direct economic relationship with their audience.
The Value-4-Value philosophy holds that listeners who receive value from a creator should return value in kind — directly, instantly, and without intermediary extraction. This License operationalizes that philosophy in a legally enforceable framework that protects the Owner’s rights while enabling a global ecosystem of Distributors, Applications, Value Casts, and Value Hosts to participate under clear, consistent terms.
This License is NOT a Creative Commons license, a mechanical license, a sync license, or a public performance blanket license. It is a purpose-built instrument for the V4V ecosystem, and all parties should read it accordingly.
Artists whose music appears on Bitcoin Beats via V4V feeds retain all ownership rights. Lightning splits embedded in the feed metadata are honored automatically — user zaps flow directly to each rights-holder according to their ownership percentage. If you are an artist and your music is listed here, you may claim your artist page by emailing info.603btc@gmail.com with: (1) your name and the artist/track you are claiming, (2) a link to social proof (your website, Fountain profile, Wavlake page, or similar), and (3) your Lightning address for zap payments. We will verify your identity and activate your claimed page within 48 hours.

- Personal information in public spaces — phone numbers and email addresses are blocked in Global Chat to protect user privacy. PII may be shared in private DMs with a confirmation prompt
Content filters use leet-speak normalization, multi-word phrase detection, and regex pattern matching. Blocked messages are never stored or transmitted. Attempting to circumvent content filters (e.g., using special characters, Unicode tricks, or deliberate misspellings) is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

- Example keys, addresses, and seed phrases shown in the guide are for illustration only — never use example keys found online for real funds
25. Nacho's Trails & Certifications
- Trail exams test knowledge of curated archive content — questions are not comprehensive Bitcoin certification
- Scholar Certification is an achievement within this site only — it does not constitute a professional credential
- Shareable certificate links are publicly accessible by design. By generating a certificate, you consent to your username and score being viewable at the verification URL
- We reserve the right to revoke certificates obtained through cheating or exploitation
26. Bitcoin Buddy
- Bitcoin Buddy is a voluntary matching system — you choose to join the pool
- We match teachers with learners only. Same-goal matching is not supported
- Your username, experience level, goal, and optional intro are shared with your matched buddy
- Standard community conduct rules (Section 18) apply to all buddy conversations
- We are not responsible for the quality of mentorship or learning provided by other users
- Unmatched pool entries are deleted after 30 days
27. Top Indicators Dashboard
- All indicators are calculated client-side from publicly available data (CoinGecko API) and are for educational and informational purposes only
- Indicator values, thresholds, and signals are not financial advice and should not be used as the sole basis for investment decisions
- Static data (MSTR holdings, ETF data) is updated periodically and may not reflect real-time values
- We make no guarantees about the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of dashboard data
28. Sats Faucet (Claim Sats)
- Sats (satoshis) are earned through genuine engagement with the Site's educational content — they are not purchased, traded, or invested
- The sats faucet is an educational reward program, not a financial service. 603BTC LLC is not a money transmitter, bank, or financial institution
- All claims are subject to the following limits: minimum 100 sats per claim, maximum 200 sats per day, lifetime cap of 15,000 sats per user, and a 24-hour cooldown between claims
- Points are earned at a maximum rate of 500 points per day and convert at a fixed rate of 10 points = 1 sat
- Lightning Network routing fees are deducted from claims — the amount you receive may be slightly less than the amount claimed
- Payouts are processed via the Lightning Network through Alby Hub NWC. You must provide a valid Lightning invoice for the exact claim amount
- Eligibility requirements: account age ≥7 days, ≥10 topics read, verified email address
- We reserve the right to pause, modify, or permanently disable the sats faucet at any time, with or without notice
- There is no guarantee of sats availability — the faucet may be empty or temporarily offline at any time
- Abuse of the faucet — including but not limited to multi-accounting, bot farming, exploiting bugs, or any attempt to circumvent limits — will result in permanent ban from the faucet and may result in full account suspension
- Points have no cash value outside of the claim system. Points cannot be sold, traded, or transferred between users
- Sats distributed through the faucet are gifts/rewards for educational participation. Tax obligations, if any, are the sole responsibility of the recipient
- 603BTC LLC makes no representations regarding the future value of Bitcoin or satoshis received through the faucet
⚠️ Anti-Abuse Policy: We employ device fingerprinting, IP-based rate limiting, server-side point validation, and behavioral analysis to detect faucet abuse. Specific protections include:
- Device fingerprinting — a hashed hardware/canvas fingerprint is generated at claim time to detect multiple accounts on the same device (max 2 accounts per device)
- IP rate limiting — claims from the same IP address across multiple accounts are flagged and may be blocked (max 3 accounts per IP, 2-hour cross-account cooldown)
- Server-side point enforcement — all point awards are processed through Firebase Cloud Functions with atomic transactions. The 500 pts/day cap is enforced server-side and cannot be bypassed by client modification
- Points sanity check — total points are validated against account age using immutable Firebase Auth metadata. Impossibly high balances are flagged for review
- Invoice replay protection — Lightning invoices are SHA-256 hashed and deduplicated. Each invoice can only be used once
Violations are taken seriously and may result in permanent exclusion from all reward features, forfeiture of unclaimed points, and account termination.

The Site is provided free of charge; your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the Site.
30. Privacy
We collect minimal data to power your experience. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
30a. Cookies & Local Storage
We take a minimal, privacy-first approach to browser storage. Here is an exact breakdown of what we store and why:
Cookies: We set one first-party cookie under normal operation — googtrans — used solely to remember your Google Translate language selection. If you do not use Google Translate, this cookie is never set. Firebase Authentication may set a short-lived __session cookie to manage your sign-in state; it contains no personal data beyond an opaque auth token and is cleared on sign-out. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics that profile your behavior (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no fingerprinting).
Because we do not use non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required under GDPR/ePrivacy rules.
Browser localStorage: The majority of your in-app state — theme preferences, audio settings, streak data, badge cache, quiz history, PVP results, daily spin timestamps, and Lightning wallet connection settings — is stored in your browser's localStorage, entirely on your device. This data is never transmitted to us unless you create an account, at which point it syncs to your secure Firebase profile. Your Lightning wallet configuration (NWC relay URL if provided) is stored only locally and is transmitted solely to your own wallet when you initiate a payment, never to our servers.
You can clear your localStorage at any time via your browser settings, which will reset local app preferences and cached progress. Signed-in account data (XP, wallet balance, posts) stored in Firebase is unaffected by a localStorage clear.
Service Worker Cache: The Site operates as a Progressive Web App (PWA). A service worker caches static app assets (scripts, stylesheets, images) on your device for offline access. This cache contains no personal data and can be cleared via your browser's “Clear site data” function.
For a full technical breakdown, see the Cookies & Local Storage section of our Privacy Policy.
31. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Visiting linked sites is at your own risk.
32. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
33. DMCA Copyright Policy
We respond to copyright infringement claims in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. For full details on submitting takedown notices, counter-notifications, and our repeat infringer policy, see our DMCA Copyright Policy.
